State Grid Corporation of China and its provincial companies have all put forward requirements for equipment modeling of renewable energy grid connection. Our group has long-term research experience in renewable energy modeling, simulation and digital twins, and has the capability of electromagnetic simulation, electromechanical simulation and hardware-in-the-loop simulation. For electromagnetic simulation, we mainly use PSCAD and ADPSS; for electromechanical simulation, we mainly use PowerFactory and PSASP; for hardware-in-the-loop simulation, we mainly use RT-Lab and RTDS. At present, our group has successfully completed the modeling and testing of SVG, doubly-fed wind turbines, direct-drive wind turbines, energy storage systems, modular multilevel converters (MMC) and HVDC transmission systems.
